Strangled Darlings and Wonky Tonk at People’s Brewing

by Carl Abernathy on April 19, 2017

Strangled Darlings play unpredictable, pulsing folk that dares listeners not to dance. And their lyrics – political polemics, amusing anecdotes – are every bit as eclectic and delightful as their instrumentals.

Wonky Tonk, a young country singer from Covington, Kentucky, lures you into her songs with her waifish charm and wins your heart with her wit and earnest lyrics. Her voice, both vulnerable and worldy, is engaging, too.

Great show at People’s Brewing on Tuesday.
